Public Agenda and Taleño España Launch the Next Gen Forum, the Meeting Point for the Generations That Will Lead the Country

May 6, 2026

Agenda Pública and TALEÑTO ESPAÑA join forces to promote the Next Gen Forum, an event inspired by the World Economic Forum in Davos, which will bring together in Granada on February 20 and 21, 2026 thirty emerging leaders from the institutional, social, cultural, and business spheres with the aim of thinking, debating and shaping the future of the country. During two days of work, leaders born in democracy will share analyses, anticipate scenarios and activate new forms of collaboration to address the great challenges of the 21st century.

The Next Gen Forum arises, with a view to continuity, as a space for the new generation to question established frameworks and connect diverse perspectives about the future, triggering partnerships and generating proposals that drive Spain’s transformation. In the words of journalist Marc Calderó, a generational reference in journalism and who will host the forum, “the future of Spain and of the world is being written today and we, the generations born in democracy, are already leading it.”

With this meeting, Agenda Pública—the Spanish-language reference outlet for public policy analysis— and TALEÑTO ESPAÑA—TRIVU’s initiative to turn the country into the world’s largest talent epicenter—pool capabilities to place these emerging leaders at the center of public debate. As Calderó notes, “millennials and zetas are not the future; we are the present—we are the ones who innovate, undertake, and transform, the ones who will make the decisions that will shape the coming decades.”

Protagonists in the era of change

The forum’s launch comes at a moment of particular complexity. Political and economic uncertainty, the effects of technological disruption, international conflicts, and the widening gap of inequality across much of Western society are shaping the expectations of the new generations and fueling growing distrust. In response to this reality, the forum aspires to become a stable meeting point where these leadership figures can contribute solutions, strengthen bonds, and assume a leading role in the construction of Spain.

“Issues such as geopolitical uncertainty, technological transition, education, social cohesion, well-being, and human limits will be addressed.”

The program, to be announced on the website foronextgen.com, will seek to help participants understand the era of change, interpret the challenges that will mark the coming decade, and trigger a collective reflection on the kind of leadership their generation should exercise. Through keynotes, two-perspective conversations, and working groups, key questions will be addressed, including geopolitical uncertainty, the tech transition and the governance of AI, the productive model, education and talent, social and territorial cohesion, well-being, human limits, and ethics in an accelerated era.

About the organizers

Agenda Pública is the leading Spanish-language outlet for the analysis of public policy. It provides context and discernment in facing the complexity of social, political, and economic realities both in Spain and globally. As its director and editor, Marc López Plana, emphasizes, “The Next Gen Forum contributes precisely to this effort to consistently bring a long-term perspective and generate a higher-quality public debate, by involving those who must lead the country.”

TALEÑTO ESPAÑA is a nationwide initiative born with the purpose of generating a future vision and the strategy needed to ensure that Spain’s talent becomes the driving force behind the transformation we face together in this new decade. It is an open, diverse, and constructive movement that brings together all kinds of people, organizations, and actors in our society, public and private alike. The aim is to propel a country-wide project that positions Spain as the largest epicenter of and for talent from around the world. In the words of Pablo Ruiz de la Torre, CEO and founder of Trivu, “we need to place the talent of this generation at the center of decision-making spaces.” “Acknowledging it, activating it, and valuing it is not optional: it is what will allow us, as a society, to build a new vision of the country truly prepared for the challenges ahead,” he asserts.
