We examined a range of topics surrounding migration limits, the arguments for and against them, and related concerns.
Speak Freely recently published an interview I gave them about migration rights, titled “You Chose the Wrong Parents.” In that discussion we explored numerous immigration-related questions, including the case for migration rights, how immigration restrictions resemble medieval serfdom, the roots of anti-immigrant sentiment, what I view as the strongest arguments for restrictionism, and how migration intersects with broader hazards associated with nationalism, zero-sum thinking, and widespread political ignorance.
Much of the credit for the depth of the conversation goes to the insightful questions raised by Speak Freely‘s editor-in-chief Ogechukwu Egwuatu (herself an African immigrant to France). I regard this as one of my strongest media interviews in recent years. Speak Freely is a publication of European Students for Liberty, and we conducted the interview in April, during LibertyCon Europe (ESFL’s annual convention).
