EVENT. On Saturday 27 October, the Nordic Resistance Movement held two town square demonstrations in Norway under the banner “Revolution NOW!” The demonstrations were the first of their kind to be held in the country and took place in the towns of Fredrikstad and Moss.
The day brought extensive harassment from the police: some Swedish activists were prevented from crossing the border to attend the demonstrations, while others were arrested during the demos on spurious grounds. This continued persecution eventually caused a stand-off between activists and the police:
Despite these adversities, the day was a success, with speeches being given at both demonstrations and lots of public interest created.
