ACTIVISM. The Resistance Movement recently held a popular banner action and leaflet distribution at the spring Power Big Meet car show and swap meet in Lidköping.
On Saturday 26 March, a public activity was organised by Sweden’s Nest 2 in Lidköping municipality. The comrades met up at 1 p.m. at Lidköping Arena, where a large gathering was taking place in connection with a well-reputed classic car show. As soon as the activists arrived, they were given a warm welcome with handshakes and words of praise from a group of guests at the event.
The spring sun was high in the sky, and the atmosphere on the ground was buzzing. Amid the huge throng of people and vehicles, a large amount of intoxicants were being consumed, while well-maintained cars playing patriotic music and decorated with Swedish flags circulated around the venue.
The comrades roamed around for a while and gave out a lot of leaflets during pleasant conversations with interested visitors. Several people said they wanted to apply for membership and asked for stickers.
The activists then positioned themselves along the main road next the parking area with a banner reading “White workers built this country. White workers can take this country back!”. Scores of drivers happily beeped their car horns, and many motorists and passengers gave the thumbs-up and victory greetings to the Resistance men. There were also a small number of vehicles occupied by peculiar individuals who, for some reason, did not seem to appreciate the Resistance Movement’s presence.
After receiving a very good response from the onlookers in the car procession, the comrades decided to go back to the parking area, where they could converse with newly arrived guests in peace and quiet. Towards the end of the activity, the banner was unfurled again so both the crowds of people and the newcomers could appreciate its revolutionary and highly relevant message.
A little while later, a large oaf came over and grabbed the activists’ banner. This foolishness resulted in a minor scuffle, which was settled relatively quickly. When the comrades rolled out the banner again, several sympathisers approached to show support for the Resistance men, which the activists deemed very honourable.
After another hour had passed, the activists felt satisfied with the day’s undeniably successful activity. The comrades thanked the sympathisers and one another, before heading home. Nest 2 is guaranteed to visit the Power Big Meet car show and similar events in the future.
