Wilderness exercise 2022

WILDERNESS ACTIVITY. A team from the Danish branch of the Nordic Resistance Movement recently completed a tough 44-hour wilderness exercise in Rold Forest and the surrounding area.

Danish wilderness activity in Rold Forest

Three members were selected to participate in the exercise based on their differences in physique and outdoor skills. The exercise would demonstrate that unity, cooperation and comradeship are the ingredients for success in any group.

Over the course of a weekend, the participants had to find their way to a series of destinations using a map and compass and solve a number of tasks along the way that would push them to their limits.

Hunger, hardships and technical tasks after many hours of walking characterised this year’s wilderness exercise.

Resistance Movement attends large family event in Örkelljunga

ACTIVISM. Sweden’s Nest 3 spread the revolutionary message at an outdoor concert in Örkelljunga, southern Sweden.

Nordic Resistance Movement activism at concert in Örkelljunga, Sweden

On Friday 15 July, a concert was held in central Örkelljunga that was open to all and free to enter. During the evening, the beloved folk musician Hasse Andersson was set to perform, along with several other artists. The Resistance Movement’s activists arrived on the scene about half an hour before the music began and stood at the main entrance, handing out leaflets. After about 15 minutes, they decided to move towards the stage and give out the leaflets to visitors who were already sitting down.

Lots of people accepted the leaflets, with mixed reactions. What was clear, however, was that the Resistance Movement’s symbols and aesthetics are well-known in Örkelljunga, thanks to all our activism conducted in recent weeks, as well as the vicious lies about the organisation from Helsingborgs Dagblad.

After about an hour of music and spreading National Socialist propaganda, the comrades went on to leaflet car windscreens in the car park to ensure no one missed the opportunity to make a revolutionary choice by voting for the Nordic Resistance Movement this autumn.

Activist Days 2022 – Denmark

RESISTANCE MOVEMENT. The Danish branch of the Nordic Resistance Movement held its annual Activist Days event in July, with speeches, lectures, comradeship and activism.

Nordic Resistance Movement Activist Days 2022 Denmark speech

The annual Danish Activist Days event was recently held in Nest 1. The gathering, which lasted from Friday evening to Sunday morning, included speeches, lectures, comradeship, good food and activism.

The participants started arriving on Friday evening, and after breakfast the following morning, the event proper got underway on Saturday with a speech by the Resistance Movement’s national chief, Jacob Vullum.

Vullum’s speech was about engagement in the struggle for our people’s survival, as well as the bleak prospects for those who choose to neglect activist work. He also spoke about how everyone is obliged to sacrifice themselves for one another for the common goal.

After Vullum’s speech, two members were appointed as activists in the Nordic Resistance Movement and were presented with their activist pin badges.

A new Nest Chief was also appointed for Nest 1 – the dedicated activist and speaker, Joakim Johansen.

After the appointments, Joakim took to the stage to hold a speech about the importance of commitment and self-sacrifice in the struggle.

The next presentation was a lecture about violence and pacifism by Swedish visitor Marcus Hansson. The lecture focused on violence in both the animal kingdom and human society, and explored how every non-violent people in world history has ultimately perished.

After the lecture, the MC for the event, Christian Poulsen, announced the big surprise of Activist Days to the participants: a flash demonstration in the centre of Aarhus.

The flash demonstration was a great success, with speeches in three locations in central Aarhus and lots of leaflets handed out. Joakim Johansen served as the speaker, while the remaining activists acted as flag bearers and spoke to people on the streets.

After almost two hours in Aarhus, everyone returned to another surprise. The Resistance Movement had arranged a wilderness activity a week before Activist Days, with three members selected to participate. This exercise was the basis of a documentary film, which was premiered at this year’s Activist Days.

Watch the trailer for the documentary below:

After watching the documentary, which received resounding applause, it was time for dinner, before everyone went outside to enjoy the warm evening weather. Some of the comrades played football, while others cosied up by the fire after a long day.

By Saturday evening, Activist Days was nearing its conclusion, and on Sunday morning everyone said their goodbyes. Filled with experiences, the comrades then went their separate ways with renewed fanaticism and a thirst for new activities and the future of the struggle.

Blitz demonstration in Aarhus

ACTIVISM. The Resistance Movement recently held a blitz demonstration in the heart of Aarhus, Denmark, with speeches and a leaflet distribution.

Nordic Resistance Movement public activity, Aarhus, Denmark

The Resistance Movement conducted a blitz demonstration with speeches in several locations in central Aarhus earlier this month. The speeches were held on Store Torv, Bispetorvet and Badstuegade, where the people walking the busy streets could hear the uncomfortable truths about the degradation of Aarhus from a proud White city to a breeding ground for Arab and African gangs, as well as the LGBT infection, which is growing in Aarhus and every other large Western city.

While the speeches were being held, the activists handed out leaflets to passers-by, several of whom had friendly conversations about mass immigration and the Resistance Movement’s vision of uniting the Nordic countries into one National Socialist state.

The whole demonstration, which lasted almost two hours, passed without problems. The police briefly visited the action but did not attempt to stop it, and no racial foreigners or Antifa interfered.

Excerpt from the speech:

Aarhus has existed as a town since the 900s, under the name Aros. Aros means “river outlet”, but our ancestors never thought that in the year 2022 this would come to refer to globalism’s sewer pipes.

The waters in the Viking Age were clean and life-giving, and Aarhus was named after the river outlet as a tribute to the purity and vitality of nature. But the sewage has been rising in Aarhus in recent years – from places like Gellerup and Brabrand, as is the case in all Nordic cities.

The founders of Aros never anticipated or wanted this magnificent city to be overrun by humanity’s most decaying, decadent and rotten.

Aarhus, like Denmark, should be a beacon of White morality and White identity. Now Aarhus, like Denmark and the whole of the North, has been relegated to a breeding ground for Middle Eastern invaders and perverted minorities.

Just a couple of months ago, a homosexual pride celebration was held in this city of the Vikings, while the proportion of racial foreigners in the city grows and grows.

Ask yourselves if the founders of Aarhus and our ancestors lived and died so the perverse could conquer the city and normalise their shameful sexuality, while Middle Eastern jackals could slowly but surely conquer the suburbs.

How long has it been since you heard about racial foreigners from Brabrand selling drugs to our children?

How long has it been since you heard about crazed racially foreign drivers disabling police officers?

How long has it been since you experienced the homo lobby’s normalisation of LGBT?

How long has it been since Denmark lost a prosperous industry when the democratic dictatorship slaughtered the mink business?

How long has it been since the democratic dictatorship sold off Danish heritage when they sold the vaccine factory?

How long has it been since we heard about dead Danish soldiers in unholy wars for NATO and the USA?

Have you gotten used to interest slavery?

Have you gotten used to 13 parliamentary parties that get nothing done because they constantly acquiesce to one another?

Have you gotten used to your history and identity having to make way for the offended?

Have you gotten used to socialising with Africans and Arabs – and are you OK with your sons and daughters doing the same? Or the fact that the statistics clearly show that White boys are beaten and robbed, and White daughters are threatened and raped by the people in Brabrand and Gellerup.

All these things are connected. And the political system that tries to harvest your votes every four years is the problem.

No one voted for sky-high interest rates.

No one voted for the shaming of White identity.

No one voted to import hundreds of thousands of racial aliens to our countries.

No one voted to sacrifice Danish soldiers in illegal wars for globalism.

Just as no one voted to shut down the mink industry, the sale of the vaccine factory or the state-sanctioned normalisation of LGBT.

The Nordic Resistance Movement says: The system that shapes society and educates the people is defective!

Public activity in Skellefteå after rape of 10-year-old girl

ACTIVISM. The Nordic Resistance Movement took to the streets following a disgusting attack on a 10-year-old girl by an African.

Martin Saxlind, Nordic Resistance Movement public activity in Skellefteå, Sweden

Activists and members gathered in Skellefteå, northern Sweden, on Saturday 16 July to hold a town square meeting.

The activity was organised in response to the appalling and brutal rape and attempted murder of a 10-year-old girl in the town by an African. The girl is still under sedation in an intensive care ward as a result of the attack. It was a deeply tragic incident that elicited many emotions in the community, as well as serving as another reminder of the depraved and destructive consequences brought here by the dark waves of mass immigration.

“Now is enough enough?”

The comrades gathered in central Skellefteå with flag bearers and gave out specially produced leaflets about the incident. To attract the attention of passers-by, they also played nationalist music from loudspeakers, with the Resistance Movement’s own troubadour Henrik Pihlström being the most prominently featured artist.

Nest 6 Chief Daniel Byström gave an impassioned speech in front of a crowd of locals in the area. Initially, the speech was about how Daniel himself – like many others in the community – was furious about the senseless attack. But he went on to say that instead of being angry and focussing on lone disturbed individuals, we should direct our hatred towards those who rightfully deserve it: the ruling politicians. It is the politicians’ decisions that enabled this and innumerable other attacks on our people.

With a strong voice, he proclaimed that these politicians are nothing more than traitors and criminals who have mismanaged Skellefteå Municipality to such a degree that women and children no longer dare walk the streets. He also made the point that it is rarely the politicians’ own children who are sacrificed on the altar of multiculturalism, but that these politicians appear to have no problem forcing the voting cattle into multicultural purgatory.

The last part of the speech was directed at those who by now should be tired of swallowing their anger and not having the courage to act, but who are instead afraid of what people might think and what consequences there may be for joining our ranks. However, as Daniel pointed out, that is not real fear. Real fear is being a ten-year-old girl who is being assaulted by an African, who, with bestial violence, is about to take her life, while violating her in unimaginable ways.

Daniel ended the speech by asking the audience if their absurd fears amounted to anything when compared to the fear the girl experienced. If the answer was no, then the only fitting response is to join the revolutionary struggle to secure a continued existence for our women, children and our entire people.

Nordic Resistance Movement public leafleting activity in Skellefteå, Sweden

The activity was very successful, and all the leaflets that had been printed for the occasion were quickly accepted by passers-by. Many stopped and spoke with the activists, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. There were a few exceptions, such as a couple who approached very aggressively, but quickly calmed down after talking with the activists. The police also made an appearance, but their presence was limited to explaining to a poor confused individual that even critics of immigration have free speech in this country, at least for now.

Daniel gave his speech a second time to a new audience, and it was just as effective as the first. When the activity was over, everyone felt very satisfied with the successful action and said their farewells until next time.

Election to the Riksdag: Interview with the leader of the Nordic Resistance Movement

INTERVIEW. Simon Lindberg sits down for an exclusive interview about the organisation and himself, ahead of the parliamentary election in autumn.

Simon Lindberg, Nordic Resistance Movement

Simon Lindberg, could you begin by giving a short presentation of yourself?

I am a father of four living in Grängesberg, in Ludvika Municipality, central Sweden. I have been involved in the national struggle my whole adult life and for most of my teens. Since 2015, I have been the leader of the Nordic Resistance Movement.

The Nordic Resistance Movement is standing in the parliamentary election for the Riksdag and four municipal council elections this year. Which election are you standing in?

I am only standing in the parliamentary election, not in a municipality. I am the lead candidate for the Nordic Resistance Movement.

What are the Resistance Movement’s key issues in the election?

Our most important issues in the autumn elections are the ever-present and increasingly more alarming matters of immigration and repatriation; the almost equally serious issue of the environment and nature; and, in relation to Covid-19 and the Ukraine war, the extremely topical issue of independence.

The immigration of racial foreigners must stop, and comprehensive repatriation must begin as soon as possible. If this is not done, no other political issue will matter, as our people will be biologically eradicated via the ongoing population replacement.

Regarding the environment and nature, the current debate is extremely one-sided and skewed in favour of big finance, as it is 100% focused on global warming, with the “solution” often being that private individuals must consume even more (electric cars etc.). Instead, we choose to focus on far more important issues for our environment, such as pollution, exploitation and the ongoing destruction of the earth’s biological diversity.

When it comes to independence, we can clearly see that Sweden and the Nordic countries are completely dependent on imports from other peoples and countries, even though we could actually produce almost everything we need ourselves. We are going to make ourselves even more dependent if we join the Nato war alliance. The Nordic Resistance Movement instead wants to create a nation with a level of self-sufficiency over 100% that is free from all anti-Nordic alliances.

Can you rank these key issues according to importance for the Resistance Movement? Maybe the order you just listed them in gives a hint?

Immigration and repatriation are and will be (as long as the problems remain unsolved) the absolute most important issues, as they are the most acute and, like I said, no other issue in the world matters if our race no longer exists.

Regarding the others, the environment and nature are the next most important, to the extent that independence will be irrelevant if nature and the planet cease to exist, but the question of independence is more topical. A Nato membership, for example, could still be prevented via massive popular protests; but stopping environmental pollution and healing the planet is a far more extensive process.

Are you a politician?

I am politically interested, but I certainly do not see myself as a politician, no. Rather an activist, or maybe even a fighter. I am not involved in the national struggle because it benefits me; on the contrary, it has brought about many personal sacrifices over the years, and I am probably as far from being a populist as you can get. Instead I stand up for what is right and proper and say what needs to be said – regardless of whether the masses like it or not, or what it costs me.

Simon Lindberg speaks on 1st of May 2022 in Ludvika, Nordic Resistance Movement
A politician? Hardly!

Will a senator in the liberated Nordic Nation call himself a “politician”? Has the word been sullied beyond repair by those who abuse their power, or do you believe it can be reclaimed?

Obviously I believe the meaning of words can change over time. There is a constant struggle over vocabulary in society; for example, we can see how the meanings of words like “democracy” and “racist” have been altered drastically in just a few decades. Of course, the meanings of such words can be changed again. For the same reason, we persist with words like “propaganda”, “radical”, “National Socialist”, “revolutionary” and so on, because we do not accept losing these words to the establishment. “Politician” is not a word we have felt compelled to fight for, but maybe it will be in the future, who knows?

What makes a good leader?

Of course a leader has to delegate duties and motivate his subordinates; but to give a little more unique and interesting answer, I think an important characteristic for a good leader is that he should never sit on a high horse or think himself too good to do something that needs doing.

A leader who is never on the streets himself cannot demand that his subordinates should be. A leader who thinks himself above putting up stickers or spraying logos cannot expect someone else to do it. A leader who cannot sweep the floor after giving a lecture or help out in the kitchen can never expect others to want to assume such duties. Of course it would be a big waste of resources if the leader were to do all this at the cost of the really important things required of a leadership position, but my point is that when circumstances demand it, a good leader must also be able to do what everyone else does.

A good leader leads his men from the front and sleeps on a bedroll by their side in the barracks, but refrains from both these things if there is a greater need for leadership elsewhere.

Simon Lindberg leafleting for the Nordic Resistance Movement
Lindberg stopped using snus a good while ago, but still participates in basic activism now and then

The Nordic Resistance Movement has leaders at several different levels. How are leaders appointed in the movement? How do we ensure we appoint the right people?

They are appointed 100% based on a combination of competence and demonstrated loyalty. Competence is an obvious factor, but the importance of loyalty in an oppositional organisation cannot be emphasised enough. No matter how competent you are in your field, that competence is pretty much worthless if you cannot remain resolute when things are going to hell around you. Appointing untested chiefs based solely on competence can be extremely counter-productive. At the same time, we naturally do not want to give people positions of responsibility based purely on loyalty, like some kind of nepotism – no, the motto of “the right man in the right place” must always be our guiding principle.

Actually, you can only be absolutely sure you have appointed the right people with the passage of time. Sometimes you may think you have made the right choice, or that there is no right choice, or that you have made the best choice based on the circumstances, which later proves to be completely wrong.

On a more practical level, every chief is responsible for appointing people to the chief positions beneath them, but with dialogue about the process from both subordinates and superiors.

Have you completely changed your position on a political issue? If so, what was it?

I don’t know if I have completely changed my mind on any important political issue, but there are some issues I have come to adopt a more nuanced view on; realised the importance of; or, on the other hand, have concluded are not that important after all.

One such issue is the fact that I was probably more conspiracy-minded in the past. I had a greater belief in secret societies that made detailed decisions on matters and actively tried to eradicate us. I’m not saying that such malicious organisations don’t exist today, but I have understood that it’s much more about economic interests and nepotism than conscious and planned evil (other than the amount of evil economic interests and nepotism can entail for those who stand in their way).

The issue of the Nordic Nation has also become considerably more important over the years. As a young man, I was more of a nationalist and a “Sweden friend”. Today I understand that Sweden and the Swedes are completely lost if we do not unite in a larger community with our kinsfolk so we can truly stand independently against the superpowers in both the East and West.

Has there been a special occasion during your “political career” when you felt particular enthusiasm about what has been achieved in the struggle and for the future?

Absolutely, something extraordinary happens continually every month that increases motivation for the struggle. Individual examples of immense self-sacrifice among our members and activists, or success stories from the streets or somewhere else where our popularity was affirmed among people who did not even know about us before.

To cite some larger and more concrete examples, I was extremely pleased when we became the first national organisation in modern times to hold major demonstrations in more than one city simultaneously, just as I was the first time I was named as one of the world’s most dangerous individuals. Furthermore, taking over central Copenhagen and Reykjavik was very enjoyable. All of these were unparalleled energy boosters!

Nordic Resistance Movement activism in Reykjavik, Iceland
The first public action ever in Iceland, in the capital Reykjavik, 2019

Every month something extraordinary happens that increases motivation for the struggle.

Has there been any particular occasion during your “political career” when you felt disillusionment or perhaps experienced waning enthusiasm for the future?

It’s extremely sad every time someone falls victim to the temptations of laziness and leaves the struggle; and particularly sad when these defectors show themselves to be completely different and inferior people to what they pretended to be, in addition to betraying the organisation and their former comrades.

There have been a few stabs in the back over the years, but I would say firstly that such occasions aren’t very strange, considering how hard the system attempts to fight us; and secondly, that the resulting disappointment is always just temporary. In the long run, we are strengthened and become better people on account of these momentary setbacks.

Is there any general advice to give the disheartened nationalist who is disappointed with what the struggle has to offer at the moment, but who promises to return when things “really start to heat up”?

It’s about trying to focus on the positive aspects instead of the negative and not making the perfect the enemy of the good. There will almost certainly never be a situation or organisation that you view as exemplary from your individual outlook, but organising is precisely about being able to depart from this egocentric outlook and joining forces with others for a higher cause. This can require emphasising the good instead of the potentially negative and looking for the best existing alternative, instead of looking for the unattainably perfect one. There is loads of optimism and a lot of white pills to experience on a continual basis in our struggle, if you just choose to see them.

Then, as I mentioned earlier, there is the importance of loyalty. Naturally, you cannot appear out of nowhere in a difficult situation and expect to have people’s trust. It is during the current phase of the struggle that we have the possibility of testing our abilities, and in which people can show what they are made of during the fire drills, so there will be no question of our readiness when things really are on fire.

There is loads of optimism and a lot of white pills to experience on a continual basis in our struggle, if you just choose to see them.

You mentioned you are a father. How does it work for you combining family life, professional life and your political involvement?

Virtually all people – whomever you ask and whatever situation they are in – talk about putting together the puzzle of life. It’s probably the same case for someone in my situation, maybe with a few more puzzle pieces. Everything you do or don’t do in life is about priorities, and I think an important part of the solution lies in creating good routines for yourself.

Have you stood in elections for any other organisation besides the Nordic Resistance Movement?

Yes, in 2006 I was on the list of national parliamentary candidates and stood for election to Kristianstad municipal council for the now defunct National Socialist Front party (NSF).

How would you briefly describe the difference between the NSF and the Nordic Resistance Movement, and between your own roles in each organisation?

I fought wholeheartedly for the NSF during the ten years I was a member, and I really liked the party, so it’s not my intention to offend anyone, but in retrospect I can say that the NSF was not as mature, not as profound, as the Resistance Movement is. I usually say the NSF was more National Socialist on paper, while the Resistance Movement is National Socialist in body, heart and soul. The NSF was more political, and the Resistance Movement more ideological.

My own role is quite different. In the NSF, I was a regional leader and had responsibility for the activism in Scania. Now in the Resistance Movement, I am the highest leader for the whole Nordic organisation, with all its subsidiary branches and fields of activity. It’s a bit like being a branch manager for a local company that’s part of a larger chain, and being the CEO of the whole corporate group.

It states in the party programme Our Path that the Nordic Resistance Movement is a “revolutionary struggle organisation”. Why should such a group stand for a parliamentary election arranged within a liberal democracy?

We conduct propaganda work intensively all year round – election year or not, but participation in elections is above all a very clear and concrete venture at a time when regular people are significantly more receptive to politics than normal. It also gives us legitimacy among certain groups of people who otherwise find it difficult to understand what we mean when we say we are fighting to take power in the Nordics.

We have no illusions of winning any parliamentary elections as long as the system is rigged in the way it is today, but we believe election campaigns give us an excellent platform to get our message out, and also give us an opportunity to strengthen, particularly at local level, where we’re also standing in municipal elections.

If we manage to secure a mandate somewhere despite abnormal opposition from the system – with everything from media lies to closed bank accounts and other forms of more direct election fraud – it would of course be great and would give us another platform from which to convey our message; but whatever happens, our election campaign will make our organisation stronger.

At what point in the history of the organisation was the decision made to establish a parliamentary branch of the Resistance Movement?

I am a little unsure as to when the decision was actually made, as I was not a part of the National Leadership at that point myself, but the decision was announced in 2014, and a party was formally established in 2015, when the collection of signatures was completed.

Nordic Resistance Movement member Pär Sjögren holds a speech during the election campaign in Ludvika, Sweden
The election campaign in Ludvika, 2018

Four years on

The Resistance Movement stood in the parliamentary election and in three municipal council elections in 2018. What lessons do you think can be learned from that experience?

Oh, there are loads of things we have learned from the election that we communicated internally and are now putting into practice in this year’s election campaign, but I don’t really know if there is anything I want to talk about publicly right now. More focus locally and less nationally is one such thing I can say, and more quality than quantity when it comes to propaganda would be another.

How do you think society has changed over these four years?

The most obvious thing of all is that multiculturalism has expanded even more. Many towns that still had hope in 2018 are virtually lost today. Many small localities that were ethnically homogenous then have a growing proportion of racial aliens today.

It has also become increasingly clear from the Covid-19 restrictions, upcoming terrorism laws, Nato membership application and attempts to ban the Resistance Movement that today’s so-called democracy is totalitarian to its core, but that it still attempts to maintain the illusion of some kind of freedom for the people.

Along with both of these negative aspects, some sections of the public have at least become more receptive towards radical political alternatives and the knowledge that change is necessary, which is of course very positive for our opportunities to reach out to people.

One obvious change is the degree of censorship on various platforms. During the previous election campaign, videos of the Resistance Movement’s public activities were available on YouTube, while Nordisk Radio’s podcasts were on Spreaker. Now they aren’t. Do you think this development will escalate or change direction in the future? Is there a point when building your own platforms starts to trump repeated platform-switching?

Unfortunately, I believe we must be fully prepared for the day when we will not be allowed to be on the internet at all – when we won’t even have the possibility of having a domain on the web. This is one of the many reasons why it is so incredibly important that we always gravitate towards street activism as the core of our activities, and not the other way around. When we are removed from the internet – or for that matter, when the internet is completely shut down due to terrorism or warfare – then we will not be starting from scratch, but will have internalised routines and a high level of competence.

Our own platforms are something we have started to work on more and more. The problem is that they do not reach nearly as many people. YouTube, Facebook, Google and others have huge monopolies on their respective markets.

How do you think the Resistance Movement and the conditions for our struggle have developed in the period since the last election? The lying press, security police and intelligence services claim we have been “weakened by defections and divisions”. At the same time, powerful forces regard us as such a great threat to the current system that they want to ban us at any cost. What is actually true here?

The truth is that we have been both strengthened and weakened at the same time. We had more members in 2018 than we have today, and we conducted more quantitative, external activism. However, at the same time, the organisation’s leadership and inner core have become decidedly stronger, and we have conducted more internal activism, such as martial arts training, social activities and study circles, than we did then.

That being said, we are undoubtedly a greater threat to the system today than we were in 2018. Members come and go in waves, depending on various circumstances. That is the way it has always been and generally always will be, whatever we do about it. Therefore, it is far more important that the leadership be strong and the core stable so we have the best possible conditions the next time we get a large influx of members.

When shit really hits the fan, we will be in much greater need of a good structure and loyal, close-knit comrades than being able to entice X number of people to voting booths or even to a demonstration. By that I do not mean that those things are not of interest to us, just that the former is even more important.

We are undoubtedly a greater threat to the system today than we were in 2018.

Nordic Resistance Movement - Our honour is loyalty

Philosophy and the future

The Resistance Movement advocates for referenda and wants to introduce representative government, while we also emphasise the importance of strong leadership. How do these principles fit together?

They fit together very well, actually, and are quite similar to how things were in the original democracy in Ancient Greece.

Firstly, we believe that the people themselves can make the best decisions when it comes to everyday matters that affect them locally in their regular lives – far better than anyone else can. On the other hand, we know that on really important issues that concern the nation’s survival, freedom and development, things would function much better with a clear, authoritarian leadership that can make the necessary decisions without needless bureaucracy and parliamentary bickering.

Secondly, we believe in the responsibility principle, with a leader who is highly visible and takes responsibility for his decisions, and that a healthy and enlightened people in a society with a diverse media must also have the possibility of removing their leaders if they prove to be insufficiently competent. We want to give this power to the people via both votes of no confidence and the right to retain their service weapons from their military service in their own homes.

In today’s Sweden we have the opposite of all this and the worst of all worlds: a people who are completely without power, and careerists for “leaders”, who, despite the people’s powerlessness, are paralysed by bureaucracy and hide behind their colleagues instead of taking responsibility.

In your opinion, what do the Resistance Movement need to achieve in autumn in order to consider this year’s election campaign a success, or even a victory?

We need to be seen and heard more than the other parties, despite our extreme lack of resources, and we need to have become stronger locally in the municipalities where we are standing, via new members, valuable contacts or general support.

“I have read your party programme Our Path and find it to be the programme that best matches my views. However, I intend to vote for the Sweden Democrats or possibly Alternative for Sweden, because you won’t get into parliament anyway, so I don’t intend to throw away my vote on you.” How do you answer?

That the only way you can throw away your vote is by not voting for us!

I can begin by saying that the Sweden Democrats get over a million votes, so it does not matter to them if you vote or not. Your vote will not affect their existence or non-existence in the slightest. But for us parties outside the Riksdag, every vote is visible and has an impact.

The system does not care in the slightest if you vote for the Sweden Democrats or not – today they are a part of the system. But they are extremely worried that you might vote for us, even if we do not get into the Riksdag.

Then of course it can also be said that neither the Sweden Democrats nor Alternative for Sweden have what it takes to save this country, even if they did get a majority of the votes in the election (which they are hardly likely to get). Things have gone much too far for politicians with different coloured ties to be able to create change. It requires active men and women of the people. It requires a full-scale revolution. With your vote for us, you give the Nordic Revolution legitimacy!

Finally, it is worth adding that the Sweden Democrats have plainly stated they will ban the Nordic Resistance Movement. By voting for them, you are therefore voting for a ban on us – something that is distasteful, to say the least, if you really do like our political programme the most.

The system does not care in the slightest if you vote for the Sweden Democrats or not – today they are a part of the system. But they are extremely worried that you might vote for us, even if we do not get into the Riksdag.

So in conclusion: Why should people vote for the Nordic Resistance Movement in this year’s election?

People should vote for us because they understand you cannot vote away the problems in Sweden today. You choose the Nordic Resistance Movement because we are the revolutionary choice!

Thank you, Simon, for your time and your extensive answers. And good luck in this year’s election!

The Nordic Resistance Movement - A revolutionary choice

Preference test with quick-fire questions

I almost forgot! We have a little preference test as well. Choose between the following options:

Street activism or internet activism?

All forms of activism fulfil a function and complement one another, but as the choice is between one or the other, the answer is clearly street activism. It’s the most fun and useful!

Parliamentary debate or innovative activism?

Innovative activism in parliament!?

Your hometown of Kristianstad or your current home of Grängesberg?

The old Kristianstad as it looked when I grew up; the present-day Grängesberg, given how Kristianstad looks today.

Giving speeches or delivering leaflets?

Ha ha, giving speeches, of course! But gods know I’ve done my share of the latter as well.

Hard rock or dance music?

Hard rock! But I’m no black metal fan, like many others in the organisation.

Videogames or films?

Back when I had a simpler life, my answer would have definitely been videogames. But today it’s probably films, because they are less demanding.

Strength training or running?

Definitely strength training.

Beer or wine?

Beer, of course!

Push-ups or deadlifts?

Definitely deadlifts!

Barbecue or home cooking?

I do have a weakness for barbecue.

A low-carb, high-fat (LCHF) diet or a vegan diet?

Ideologically, vegan; in terms of taste and what I think is best for my body, LCHF. In reality, it’s neither, but rather a good mix.

The Resistance Movement on the Nordics’ highest mountain

RESISTANCE MOVEMENT. An extensive personal report from one of the participants of a recent trip to the summit of Galdhøpiggen.

The Nordic Resistance Movement once more organised an excursion to the national park of Jotunheimen in Norway, famous for its magnificent mountainous landscape, its ancient glaciers, its awesome mountain ridges and peaks and its unpredictable weather conditions all year round. The group, which comprised members and friends, set the goal of conquering two peaks above 2,200m within two days, a goal which proved to be more challenging and strenuous than expected, especially for those with no previous experience in similar expeditions.

We arrived at Jotunheimen late on Thursday night, after a long drive under a strong summer sun. As we entered this Nordic alpine enclave and started gaining altitude, the temperature dropped, and the air became chillier and purer. At a height of about 1,200m, in central Jotunheimen, our car trip was over and we made camp near a lake, which appeared to function as a reservoir for the cold, crystal-clear water rushing down the mountains in a loud and mighty river. This river then poured into a deep gorge with unchecked might and down onto the plains below, where it has been providing life to the tireless Norwegian farmers since their ancestors decided to plough these inhospitable lands long ago.

We slept satisfied, as we knew the weather conditions for tomorrow would be favourable, without scorching sun or heavy rain. We only hoped the tops would be free from clouds when we approached them.

Early the next day, the group was ready to move. We could already see our destination for the day: the staggering top of Store Smørstabbtinden, at 2,208m, free from clouds! Our camping place was on a small plane far below the plateaus west of the mountain, and from our position only the summit was visible. We studied the map and agreed upon a route that would bypass the extra steep and dangerous parts but would add a few extra kilometres to our hike.

We followed the mighty river up to the first plateau, where we could examine the landscape better – and what a landscape it was! On our right side we could see tall, vertical cliffs that supported the eastern borders of the Smørstabbrean glacier and generated many spectacular waterfalls supplying the river we had been following from the beginning. In front of us, the Smørstabbtinden massif stood proud, ageless, intimidating and indifferent to our small party, who looked like dwarves surrounded by giants!

Mountains in Jotunheimen, Norway

Beautiful, steep and unapproachable summits (to unequipped amateur mountaineers like us) connect to the highest peak – our destination – via knife-edge mountain ridges towards the south, while to the north our mountain curves gently down to smoother, snow-covered peaks, which we would have to walk beneath in order to reach the last flat area before the final climb to the top. We made our way along the same river until we finally came to its source, the mountain lake on the base of Leirbrean glacier.

This glacier is truly extraordinary. Sloping down a semi-circular mountain ridge, climbing to almost 2,000m and right under our peak, the glacier radiates a mesmerising blueish colour. Cold, distant, inhospitable and magical, it stretches like an ocean of ice all around Smørstabbtinden, allowing only a relatively small and steep rocky corridor to the top. The glacier lake was completely frozen and the whole landscape was scattered with large islands of late summer snow, which we had to cross many times and which grew broader and longer as we went higher.

Our orientation skills were put to the test, as we had to alter our route a number of times to avoid treacherous crossings over creeks swollen by abundant rain and glacial water and snow – covered patches undermined by waters flowing below – which we could hear but not see, and which could easily collapse under our weight. As we gained altitude, the vastness, roughness and solitude of the landscape became clear to us.

The road was long gone from our sight. There were no paths, but there were sporadic patches of stones clumsily built by hikers, which could provide a rough orientation. These were of no use to us, however, because the usual routes were still blocked by water and snow and new ones had to be made. There were no houses, no people, no signs of civilization as far as the eye could see. The terrain was littered with black and grey rocks of all possible sizes and forms, broken by white patches of snow, which gave us a relieving comfort when crossing them, as they were much more comfortable to walk on.

Countless creeks, large and small, were transferring water from the snowy peaks and the glaciers through this Martian landscape, down to the planes, unforeseeable and ever-flowing.

An eerie, mystical silence dominated the landscape, amplified by the marvellous sight of gigantic vertical peaks rising around us. Despite all their might and dramatical severity, the mountains inspired us with a sense of comforting tranquillity and calm alertness, which is impossible to describe adequately in words or capture in pictures. A true pilgrimage to the last abode of the Gods of the North.

Within a few hours, we reached the final stop before the peak: a flat part of the mountain ridge between our peak and the neighbouring mountain. We paused to catch our breath, rest our legs, focus our minds and plan for the final ascension. The top of Smørstabbtinden was now rising like a mythological monument 200 metres above us. This staggering pyramidal formation can only be climbed via its north side. To the west and east, there are almost vertical cliffs rising many hundreds of metres high from the glaciers below, while the south side, almost as steep, leads to the next peak (Sokse 2,189m) via a razor-sharp ridge appropriately named “Kniven” (The Knife).

The only way up to the top would offer us what was for me the most exciting part of our hike – climbing! A steep wall, about 150m high, was towering in front of us and would require good climbing skills, balance and composure – and of course the use of both hands. It is the kind of climb that is on the limits of technical climbing: a little bit steeper and it would be impossible to do without ropes, harnesses and other mountaineering equipment. A real challenge that would test us both physically and mentally. We pushed on with focus and perseverance and made it up safe and content.

A few hundred metres of milder ascent was now separating us from the top; it all came down to the weather. Getting to the summit in a cloud of mist is too dangerous for such sharp, narrow and treacherous peaks. Orientation is almost impossible, unless you know the area like the palm of your hand, stone for stone; otherwise the risk of losing your way and descending the wrong side could be the last thing you do. We were worried. During our climb we could see dark clouds covering the summit. A bitter disappointment was taking over. Had we come all the way here only to miss the top?

No! The first one of our group bore the right symbols on his arms, which seem to function as a ritual key in these mountains. The Gods guarding the peaks recognised them and let us through. The dark clouds dispersed, and the glorious sun illuminated the peak! We were there!

A friendly breeze cooled our overheated bodies, and the views were staggering. Impossible to catch in pictures and meaningless to describe in words. One has to be there to understand.

The descent of the vertical wall was more dangerous than the ascent. The group kept its composure and made it down without problems or accidents. No boots or hands lost their grip and no stones fell on our heads. As we were hiking away from the pyramid, the weather changed and rain started to fall. The Gods gave us the window we needed, but that was it.

For the rest of the hike, we would “enjoy” bitter mountain weather. Rain, mist and greyness. We replanned our route down, as we could see a crossing over a river that we had avoided during our ascent. It was steeper but possible, and saved us a couple of arduous kilometres. The rest of the road was long but safe and predictable. We were content with our success, and nothing else mattered. We studied the landscape once more and tried to take it in and etch it into our memories, both the views and the feelings that arose – unforgettable!

A few hours later we were at our camp. Resting, eating and preparing for the next adventure the day after, when we would climb Galdhøpiggen – which, at 2,469m, is the highest peak in the North.

Hiking in Jotunheimen in sandals
One of the participants challenged himself by walking in sandals for much of the trip. He reached the top of Smørstabbtinden in the spirit of the Roman legionaries, who conquered the entire known world – the south and north – in sandals. Well done, comrade!

The next morning we had a quick breakfast and drove to our destination, the mountain lodge under Galdhøpiggen. This hike would be less challenging and adventurous but more physically demanding because the ascent was about 1,400m, compared to approximately 1,000m the day before.

The highest mountain in Scandinavia attracts many visitors, and the conventional routes to the top can be busy. Meeting colourful crowds of people is not what we were looking for on our mountain adventure, as it can almost poison the experience. On the other hand, we do appreciate outdoors people who seek out the mountains and would rather sweat and toil on the steep slopes of Jotunheimen for reasons we share, instead of “relaxing” and “resting” from the routines of their lives down on the planes.

Moreover, climbing the highest mountain in the North contains an ideological and spiritual symbolism which awakens an unexplainable attraction to conquer that sacred peak, similar to our efforts to conquer ourselves and our individual and common goals.

With these thoughts in our heads and mixed feelings, we began our hike. The way to the top is an almost unending uphill trek that will challenge even the best trained mountaineer. The first 700m of ascent were hard, as you zig-zag on very uneven, steep paths that lead away from the narrow valley below, with its moderate climate and landscape, up to the first snowy slopes and the glaciers of the mountain massif, crowned by the peak of Galdhøpiggen.

Climbing Galdhøpiggen, Norway

As soon as we entered the more alpine environment, the weather turned. Clouds and mist blocked our view, and for the rest of the day, we would only enjoy short glimpses of the spectacular tops, mountain ridges, cliffs and glaciers that dominate the heart of the national park. However, the limited view has its advantages. When clouds and mist block the horizon and all you see beyond a few hundred metres is whiteness, your focus turns inwards. You can better feel the rhythm of your body struggling uphill; you can concentrate on your breathing and observe and control your physiology more efficiently.

Similarly, the mind – lacking powerful external stimuli – turns inwards into a state of alert meditation, which is excellent for contemplating and philosophising questions both great and small that perplex one’s thoughts. As we pushed on, the harshness of the terrain revealed itself once more, just like the day before. An almost alien landscape where nothing grows, littered with rocks and stones of all possible sizes and formed by the weight of the ancient glaciers that persevered in Jotunheimen long after they retreated from the rest of Scandinavia. A landscape constantly changing on account of powerful waterfalls and enormous amounts of snow falling every long winter.

Snow-covered slopes, which we had to cross many times, reminded us that summer never really comes to Jotunheimen, and that the conditions here are controlled by a strict micro-climate specific to the area and independent of the weather and the seasons below. We had sun, rain and snow, all within a period of a few hours – and as the weather changed rapidly, we were struggling to keep our mood stable.

The route to Galdhøpiggen is spectacular. We passed two peaks over 2,000m, which stood like landmarks on the way up, crossed ridges where one side was an almost vertical cliff hundreds of metres tall, and made some use of our hands at the most difficult passages. The path was well marked, and orientation was never a problem, even when we couldn’t see more than 30 metres ahead of ourselves. We could feel we were approaching the peak, but every time we would come to the end of our visibility in the cloudy mist ahead, a new slope would appear. Then, as excitement, anticipation and frustration increased, we finally saw the small “monument” marking the peak.

The group gathered round, shook hands and congratulated one another on the successful and safe ascent. The mood was cheerful, as all of us were satisfied with our little achievement. The route down was uneventful, under similar weather conditions and easier, because now we could almost run down, gliding on the snowy slopes with ease and comfort, with gigantic smiles on our faces.

Hiking on Galdhøppigen, Norway, with a rainbow in the distance

As I mentioned earlier, Galdhøpiggen attracts many visitors during the summer season, and we came across some very interesting groups of people.

We saw families with young children, five to ten years old, making it all the way to the peak. Step by step, steady and slowly, in rain and snow, those amazing youngsters pushed themselves up, climbing with hands and feet over stones we just walked over. We greeted and congratulated both parents and children for their astonishing efforts, satisfied there are still families who raise young Vikings, despite the degeneracy and temptations of the average life below.

We met a group of teenagers escorting their brave friend, who walked all the way to the top in roller-skates, just for the fun of it, as a personal challenge. Some may think this rather stupid, but I cannot help but admire this polite young man’s stamina, stubbornness, perseverance and patience – virtues that are extremely rare nowadays, especially in the youth. We know he made it to the top, and if he is reading this, we congratulate him once more and urge him to join us!

We saw athletes competing in a mountain ultramarathon. The race began at the mountain lodge of Glitterheim at 1,384, up to the top of Glittertinden at 2,452m, down to the valley at 1,111m, up to the top of Galdhøpiggen at 2,469m, down to the valley again at 1,111m and up to a plateau at 1,841m! Please read this again so you understand what a formidable accomplishment this was! These amazing men and women run and strove up and down the mountains with unsurpassable strength and stamina that seemed almost superhuman. A true elite of athletes exercising a sport for nobles.

The mountain area of Jotunheimen is a spectacular monument of authentic Nordic nature. The physical and mental impression it made on me is similar to the pictures my fantasy created inside my head when I read the unique Nordic myths for the first time. The Nordic Gods and Heroes can only have been born in this landscape, and the landscape itself reflects all their qualities and powers. It is pure, hostile, dramatic and awe-inspiring. Cold, unforgiving, intimidating and magnificent.

Being there, your mindset readjusts, and a primitive, ancient and almost sacred consciousness arises. A consciousness suppressed by the never-ending thoughts that often overwhelm our minds, but are now reawakened by the magical strength of these isolated mountains. Nowhere else in Scandinavia is the Nordic soul more accurately imprinted on the landscape, and no other landscape can better attribute the rich, profound and complex totality of the term Nordic. We felt at home.

The Saga Column (Sagasøylen)

The Saga Column

This amazing monumental pillar stands 34m tall (one of the tallest in the world), outside the Elveseter Hotel, in the very heart of Jotuneheimen National Park. It was created by the famous Norwegian sculptor Wilhelm Rasmussen, who won the commission issued by the Norwegian government in 1926, competing against men such as Gustav Vigeland. It was intended to become the new national monument of Norway and placed outside the Norwegian parliament. Rasmussen was the professor of sculpture at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry from 1921 until 1945, and was one of the last great masters of European Classical Romanticism.

He was also an active National Socialist and a member of Nasjonal Samling, and served a jail sentence for treason after the end of the Second World War. By that time, the monument was incomplete and thrown into storage in Oslo, cast into oblivion due to its creator’s political and philosophical views. The owners of Elveseter Hotel were ardent art collectors, and after accidentally rediscovering parts of the pillar in Oslo, they restored it and placed it in its current position in 1992.

The column depicts central elements in Norwegian history. The top is crowned by King Harald Harfagre, the very symbol of the transition from a divided country to unified nation. We believe modern Oslo and the country’s parliament does not deserve the pillar, and not the other way around. The current position of this astonishing piece of national art, surrounded by the glorious Norwegian mountains, is ideal and appropriate for the purpose it was built for and the symbolism it carries. It will take its rightful place in central Oslo again when the country rediscovers and reconquers the ideals and spirit the monument represents.
